This study assesses the effectiveness and vulnerability of WWII Allied tanks.  The study analyzes every cause of tank casualties, based upon a sample of 12,140 Allied tanks derived from US, British, Canadian, and French records, from every theater of operation.
File Transfer  US Third and Seventh Army Maps of the Maginot Line 1944
This is a collection of 69 maps and charts of Maginot Line fortifications prepared by the US Third and Seventh Army for military operations in the Fall of 1944. The maps are 1:25,000 scale and cover, with gaps, the fortifications from Boulay to Strasbourg. Included are several interesting map-sized sheets with sketches of various Maginot fortifications located in the Seventh Army area of operations. Most files are 6 to 7 MB.  The image posted here are low-resolution examples.

igital copy of a map atlas published by the German Army General Staff in 1942 titled "Der Feldzug gegen Sowjet-Russland: Band I. Operationen Sommer-Herbst 1941 vom 21. Juni - 6. Dezember 1941." The atlas contains 121 color daily situation maps showing German and Soviet unit positions on the Eastern Front from 21 June to 6 December 1941. Each map is 5-6 MB and the entire collection is 7.66 GB.  Low resolution examples are posted below.

A collection of 581 personal experience and research monographs and student papers written by US Army officers while attending the Infantry and Armor Schools after World War II.  The papers describe combat operations, actions, and campaigns in North Africa, Sicily, Italy, Normandy, Northern France, Ardennes, Rhineland, Central Germany, and the Pacific Islands to include Guadalcanal, the Marianas, Saipan, the Solomon Islands, Okinawa, the Philippines, and others.  Many of papers include hand-drawn maps and diagrams.  Contact me to receive the monographs via a file transfer site.  Low resolution examples are posted below.
